One of my heroes died last week. Damn, this one really hit me hard. It might be because he was my first concert. It might be because his existence was proof that being unique is something to be celebrated. It might be because his is the most haunting and amazing voice I’ve ever heard.

I want to share with you the live concert that I listen to pretty much all the time, and it never gets old. Shout out to my old roommate who gave me an audio copy of this. (Thanks, Sherm) My two favorite Bowie songs are performed – “Ashes to Ashes” and “Absolute Beginners” – and both versions heard in this concert are nothing short of amazing, as is the entire performance. I highly recommend watching/listening if you haven’t before.

To David Bowie – thank you for sharing your gifts with us. I’ll never stop celebrating them.
